Tahoe Bike & Ski is located on the north shore of Lake
Tahoe, one mile from the California / Nevada state line, next to Taco Bell across from the State Beach. Summer hours
10 - 5:30 Mon - Fri (close early on Tuesday around 5pm) saturday 9:30 - 6, sundays 9:30 - 5:30..
.Everyone
renting needs to sign a liability form. You cannot rent a bike for someone else, unless its for a small child. There
is not a paved trail in Kings Beach from the store. You have to ride for about 2 miles before you arrive at the
paved bike trail at North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista. The trail is not flat, but a short climb and a nice
short ride in the forest. It's about 6 miles round trip, and it takes about 1 to 2 hours to ride. There
are some nice single track trails in the park and also mixed single track and dirt roads above Beaver St. in Kings Beach.
There is no paved bike trail that really goes along the lake shore. Most of them go along the highway on either
hwy 28 or hwy 89 near Tahoe City, or Lakeshore blvd in Incline Village. There is one that goes along the river
fromTahoe City to the light at Squaw Valley.......................................................................................................................
All bikes are due by 10 am on the last day of your rental. Kids mountain bikes are front suspension rate if they go off road, or comfort bike
rate if they stay on paved trails.
The Comfort bike - Trek Navigator is like a mountain bike, but has
street tires and higher handle bars similar to a beach cruiser
and has gears.
Full suspension bikes do not go to North Star only the Freeride bikes. There are only two Freeride bikes available for North Star this year for $69 all day
same day. They are KHS Lucky 7 medium and a KHS Velvet small with about 6 - 7 inches of
travel. A third bike may arrive later in June. We do not
rent pads though, they can be rented at North Star.

If you're staying in South Lake Tahoe you can rent a bike in Carson
City in the evening, and return it in the evening the next day for an all day rental. Arrangements need to be made.

Comfort
bike rentals with street tires for paved roads are the Trek Navigators and KHS Town & Country.
Front Suspension and
Full Suspension Mountain bikes for off road. Front Suspension bikes are Trek 6000, 4500, 4300 and Also KHS Alite 1000 ,
Trek 3900 and 3700 for light off road.
Full suspension bikes are Trek Fuel EX5.5 17.5",19.5 ,Trek Ex 5 21.5 "ex
6 21.5" andTRek Fuel ex 5 14.5 WSD
Our full suspension bikes are not downhill
bikes., and they are not to be rented to be riden at North Star. The freeride bikes can go to North Star for $69 all day,
same day. There is only two for now. A small and a Medium. They are KHS Lucky 7 with about 7 inches of travel.
One of our 19" Full suspension is not available, because some cracked the frame riding at North Star.
Road bikes , Trek road 1500 56cm, 58cm, shimano ultegra , and a Trek 1.2 WSD 50cm, 52cm
and 54cm 1.2 mens.
I can rent the 60cm madone carbon bike with Dura Ace for $59 a day. Need to call ahead
for that bike since its in the shop.

| Trek Fuel Ex 5 21.5" |
I have a slightly
used 2007 Trek Madone 5.9 SL 60cm Road bike for sale . with all Shimano Dura Ace components except no pedals. It has the Discovery
team paint job. There is no paved bike trail that goes around the lake, or that goes along the beach
or lake. There is a bike lane that goes from Kings Beach to Tahoe Vista and connects to a short bike trail in
North Tahoe Regional park. Round trip is about 6 miles with some short hills to climb. Nice ride in the forest.
Restrooms and water available in the park. There are some off road trails that you can ride from
Tahoe Bike & Ski, at North Tahoe Regional Park, and above Beaver St. The most popular off
road trails are the Tahoe Rim trail near Brockway Summit on Highway 267. Tahoe Rim Trail at 431 Mt
Rose Highway in the meadows (open even calendar days), and the Flume trail on the east shore in Nevada. Also Tahoe
Cross Country ski area is a popular area with lots of single track trails, and the lower part is flat with rolling hills.
North Star is popular with downhill biking.
